Parsons Corporation Lead Engineer - Medium Voltage in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Medium Voltage Lead Engineer to join our team in Jeddah and play a key role in the construction of an Oceanarium. The successful candidate will oversee the technical aspects of medium voltage systems installation, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability are met throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of medium voltage electrical systems for the Oceanarium construction project.

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive plans and schedules for medium voltage system implementation, ensuring alignment with project milestones and budgetary constraints.

  • Lead the development of medium voltage system designs, including equipment selection, cable routing, protection schemes, and coordination with utility providers and regulatory agencies.

  • Direct onsite construction activities related to medium voltage systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

  • Implement rigorous quality assurance and quality control measures to verify the integrity and performance of medium voltage installations, conducting inspections and tests as necessary.

  • Identify and address technical issues and challenges related to medium voltage systems during construction, providing timely solutions to minimize delays and mitigate risks.

  • Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors involved in medium voltage system installation, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including drawings, specifications, test reports, and progress updates, and communicate project status to stakeholders as required.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in medium voltage system design and construction, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in a similar capacity.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in aquatic or marine construction projects is desirable.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Strong technical expertise in medium voltage equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and distribution systems.

  • Proficiency in industry standards and regulations governing medium voltage installations.
