The Beaver Hollow Conference Center & Spa since opening in 1989, has earned a reputation as the premier location for group and corporate business meetings and events. Privately owned by Snyder Corporation, a hospitality, travel, and transportation company with over 50 years of serving the Buffalo and Rochester, New York region, our company is dedicated to serving the Western New York community.
Our Conference Center is situated on 300 scenic acres of natural woodland in beautiful Wyoming County. We are looking for a dependable candidates with to fill vacancies within our training staff.
Position: Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor
Job Description:
The personal trainer will assist the Program Director in all aspects of the fitness program. Strong group teaching skills are required.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
-Number one priority is guest safety.
-Providing sound health and wellness advice when appropriate.
-Maintaining gym equipment (cleaning, maintenance on low supplies, reorganizing, keeping the most modern equipment in stock).
-Acting as a resource to guests who have questions regarding their program or a health or fitness questions.
-Resolving conflicts between guests, guides (minor).
-Lead classes.
Job Requirements:
-Maintain at least one current personal training or group exercise certification from a nationally recognized organization (AFAA, ACE, NSCA, ACSM).
-Maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification from nationally recognized organization Group experience preferred.
-University or college degree preferred.
-Organized and well spoken.
-Strong willed yet compassionate personality.
-Experience in customer service, strong interpersonal skills and communication ability is mandatory.
-English language and professional communications skills are required.
-Ability to take direction.
-Ability to work in a team environment.
-Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
-Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
-Perform other duties as required.
-Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
-Must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction.
* Starting pay to be negotiated based on experience*
Positions available on both day and evening shifts Mondays through Fridays.
Candidates should be available to work:
-weekends as required.
