The successful candidate will lead a team of quality control technicians to implement best practices throughout the production process. This position is the gatekeeper between products being manufactured and the end users and requires someone who is committed to ensuring a product is executed flawlessly whenever possible.How you will contribute to this team:Oversee a team of quality control technicians, who are considered the front line staff. They must communicate expectations clearly and ensure their staff is appropriately trained on the latest product standards.Inspection of a variety of parts from manufacturing including components, processes and comparing against standards.Maintain and effectively apply knowledge of statistical process control concepts such as variation, control charts, and process capability.Work closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is currently maintained and implement any new changes or adaptations based on quality review.Present completed parts to customer source inspectors to verify dimensions, requirements, and production lots as required.Determine inspection methods to meet customer requirements including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Qualifications to be successful in this role:A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality controlStrong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and methodsKnowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001Strong attention to detail and strong decision making abilitiesRoot cause analysis and corrective action methodsUse of inspection tools and coordinate measurement machines (CMM)Knowledge of CMM programs and methodsDetermine best inspection tools and methods to efficiently inspect parts to meet customer requirementsEstablishing standard operating procedures including tool calibrationsKnowledge in statistical process concepts such as variation, stability, control charts, and process capabilityAnalyzing trends and metrics for quality assuranceExperience leading, motivating, and training team members leading to successMicrosoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)
