Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Power Plant Utility Worker in Jamestown, New York

FT: Power Plant Utility Worker, Jamestown The person in this position will mow grass, trim shrubs, rake leaves, and other minor building and grounds maintenance. They will also clean sidewalks, parking areas, basins and restrooms; collect and dispose of trash and garbage and empty waste baskets, mop and sweep floors, stairs, bathrooms and hallways; perform miscellaneous painting activities; operate a van, truck, snowplow, or other light automotive equipment; perform a variety of maintenance and custodial duties as directed; perform minor electrical, plumbing, building maintenance and carpentry repairs on the power plant campus and other related work as required. They may also load, unload, receive and check deliveries of goods; move, retrieve, and deliver records, files, books, bulk mail, supplies or equipment. The person in this position may also perform a variety of tasks for power plant maintenance staff such as pulling wire, cutting conduit, and cutting and threading pipe. May also supply the power plant maintenance staff with materials, tools and equipment; operate forklifts, JLG, scissor lifts and front loaders, and may perform minor maintenance as directed. Subject to drug screening and medical exam. Pay rate: $16.10-$23.00/hour.
