Responsibilities:
Transports patients to and from the unit as needed, ensuring safe and timely movement.
Demonstrates proper IV catheter placement techniques, following established protocols.
Adheres to GFR criteria guidelines, applying knowledge appropriately to patient care.
Assists with the setup of invasive procedure trays and promptly delivers specimens to the lab.
Follows MRI and radiation safety protocols meticulously to ensure patient and staff safety.
Accurately schedules and reschedules exams in the RIS, coordinating with patients for additional scans.
Supports technologists in patient care and workflow, exhibiting a thorough understanding of procedural processes.
Verifies patient identity using at least two identifiers, educates patients pre and post-procedure, documents history accurately, and reviews physician orders, contacting offices for further information as necessary.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Clerical and computer experience
Communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
