Responsibilities:

  • Transports patients to and from the unit as needed, ensuring safe and timely movement.

  • Demonstrates proper IV catheter placement techniques, following established protocols.

  • Adheres to GFR criteria guidelines, applying knowledge appropriately to patient care.

  • Assists with the setup of invasive procedure trays and promptly delivers specimens to the lab.

  • Follows MRI and radiation safety protocols meticulously to ensure patient and staff safety.

  • Accurately schedules and reschedules exams in the RIS, coordinating with patients for additional scans.

  • Supports technologists in patient care and workflow, exhibiting a thorough understanding of procedural processes.

  • Verifies patient identity using at least two identifiers, educates patients pre and post-procedure, documents history accurately, and reviews physician orders, contacting offices for further information as necessary.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Clerical and computer experience

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Understanding of human anatomy and physiology

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
