Chautauqua County Humane Society Animal Care Giver in Jamestown, New York

PT: Animal Care Taker, Jamestown Position: Animal Caregiver

Reports to: Caregiver Team Lead

Status: Part time, non-exempt

Position Overview: The role of the Animal Caregiver at CCHS is to provide physical and emotional care to all shelter animals and to keep clean all areas of the building.

Key Responsibilities: Animal Caregivers are responsible for the general cleanliness of all CCHS animal areas and the surrounding facility. Caregivers feed, water, and medicate as directed and offer attention and support to the animals through walks, playing, etc. Interaction with volunteers and the public is an important part of this position at CCHS. Animal Caregivers will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed in our team-oriented culture.

Qualifications, Required

Experience with animals Customer service skills High school diploma or GED Must meet the physical requirements of the job including frequent stooping, bending, carrying, and walking, and be able to lift 40# Must be comfortable around all types and sizes of dogs

Training, education, or experience related to animals Valid drivers license
