Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Jamestown, North Dakota, United States. This role is in the aerospace/industrial/automotive industry and involves managing procurement for transition/transfer projects alongside the production buyer. The Purchasing Agent will also be expected to work with different time zones when necessary.

Responsibilities: • Manage procurement for all transition/transfer projects in collaboration with the production buyer • Use SAP and other tools for procurement processes • Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders • Handle purchasing orders and agreements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency • Work with suppliers to negotiate quotations and specifications • Utilize skills in supply chain management to enhance buying processes • Conduct training sessions as necessary to improve team understanding of procurement processes • Use ASP - Active Server Page for web development tasks • Comply with FAA regulations and other relevant standards • Use SAP S/4HANA for real-time business operations and analytics. Requirements • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role

• Proficiency in using 'About Time' software for time tracking and scheduling

• Experience in production and procurement processes

• Knowledge of financial notes and their implications in the purchasing process

• Excellent communication skills to effectively negotiate with suppliers and internal teams

• Experience in creating and managing purchase orders

• Ability to work with suppliers to ensure specifications are met

• Understanding of supply chain management and its role in purchasing

• Familiarity with buying processes, agreements, and quotations

• Knowledge of 'A Plus' and 'ASP - Active Server Page' is beneficial

• Background in aerospace industry is an advantage

• Familiarity with FAA regulations and compliance

• Experience in preparing Statement of Work (SOW) documents

• Proficiency in using SAP S/4HANA for business processes

• Ability to pass a all candidates required to undergo drug screening as part of the recruitment process.
