DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will work for Marriott’s Area HR team and will be based in the Jakarta area office. The intern will assist in projects, and supporting initiatives related to hotel operations.

The Area HR oversees the overall functions of Human Resources at property level including HR programs, systems and practices in Marriott, Asia Pacific. The nature of work will entail supporting the Area HR team in both HR project management and initiatives/activities to drive operational HR excellence in property across Indonesia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support Area HR team on various projects and assignments as assigned

  • Support HR Operations team to roll out HR initiatives, policies and guidelines within Indonesia region

  • Coordinate with Indonesia HR associates on related HR initiatives & activities that need to be executed.

  • Having oversight of Marriott’s online HR system and database.

  • Analyze data and metrics and support team.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following attributes:

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and action-biased environment

  • Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Team player who has the ability to work with external parties and with all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education:

Undergraduate in Human Resources, Business Management, or hospitality management preferred

Requirements

Indonesian.

Eligible for undergraduate in an Indonesia registered university program.

Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship.

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
