Manulife Indonesia General Compliance Officer is responsible to manage and ensure the implementation of regulatory compliance oversight from all operational activities of PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia (its Sharia Unit) and Dana Pensiun Lembaga Keuangan Manulife Indonesia (DPLK MI) towards the Indonesian legal framework and Manulife Financial internal policy which has been adopted and conformed according to the applicable laws and regulation in Indonesia.

The role provides timely and accurate mandatory reports to regulators through the Regulatory Report in SharePoint system, perform Regulatory Quality Assurance on regular basis, active involvement for any regulatory project/initiatives and perform submission of Marketing Office outside Head Office reporting (such as General Agency). This role is also accountable for communication with regulator and association.

We are looking for someone with:

  • University Degree graduated.

  • Min. 4-5 years working experience in Financial Institution

  • Certified in Insurance Award is a plus (ex: LOMA)

  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office

  • Advanced in Customer Service Orientation, Continuous Improvement, Leadership, Teamwork, Development & Learning, Problem Solving, Impact and Influence.

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with the key internal stakeholders

On the job you will:

  • Responsible for Regulatory Compliance Management Program in coordination with related business unit, ensuring that Manulife Indonesia and all entities comply with prevailing regulations. This including to provide gap analysis and monitoring any regulation gaps and/or action plans are closed in timely manner to ensure the business activities within Manulife complied with prevailing regulations.

  • Support the awareness of the employees of Manulife Indonesia in the importance of regulatory requirements application in the businesses and towards the prevailing laws and regulations and adoptable Manulife’s effective internal policy and procedures to manage the regulatory risk.

  • Establish effective mechanism to track the progress of business and support business units in complying with the new regulatory requirements and/or recommendations of regulators and auditors including carrying out Compliance QA and Testing Program that conducted by Local Compliance and Regional Compliance.

  • To work with the Alternative Distribution and Partnership Business and Broker team in conducting due diligence for the third-party service provider.

  • To advise Product Development Committee related to compliance on product revisions and/or new products.

  • Act as person in charge for each business unit to have the latest update to maintain and preserve the accuracy of Archer Database and Regulatory Reporting system under SharePoint Database Compliance so that the Database Compliance will always indicate the latest fact.

  • Manage all mandatory reporting to Regulators which involves PIC in across business unit

  • Manage Ad Hoc Compliance projects with cross-divisional impact, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within quality targets and to provide Compliance review for Business Unit’s initiative and project

  • Advise on Compliance issues and provide consultative advise for business transactions and other related activities and perform review and implement control process to ensure new product launch and selling process are complied with latest regulatory requirements.

  • Timely dissemination of any new regulatory updates and policies procedures for Regulatory areas.

  • Manage report Compliance for management level and Regional Compliance

  • Conduct Compliance review on customer documents

  • Be responsible as PIC for day-to-day communication and audit by Regulators
