GE Healthcare System Design Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Description Summary

In the role as a System Design Engineer for GE HealthCare, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our CARESCAPE network products. These products include all infrastructure components including network switches/routers and RF antenna systems. In this role you will be expected to develop a detailed high-quality Installation Design Package used for installation and a Customer Design Package used for troubleshooting. You will be required to work on multiple projects at any given time, as well as provide support during installation. This individual should have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of success.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform system level detailed high-quality designs, including the production of drawings, network component configurations, and troubleshooting during installation

  • Specify components and locations for critical medical device systems implementations; Includes network, RF antenna systems, power, and user interface computer components and peripherals

  • Required to work on multiple projects, lasting a few weeks to an unlimited duration while meeting project schedule and cost

  • Ability to support customers in both Central & Eastern time zones

  • Self-starter who is motivated to work efficiently and effectively from home office

  • Willingness to work with external customers throughout the project life cycle

  • Develop or improve tools, processes, or products, including service offerings

  • Provide innovation for the improvement of current products and processes

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of networking / RF experience

  • Hold or willing to obtain Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher

  • Ability to communicate clearly and affectively during technical consulting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Network / RF infrastructure design experience

  • Wireless networking knowledge

  • Network security knowledge

  • VM integration knowledge

  • AWS cloud knowledge

  • Familiarity with GE HealthCare Patient Care Solution products

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $107,120.00-$160,680.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
