Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced highly self-motivated Senior Contracts Manager, Government Programs well versed in FAR/DFARS contracts to support the Collins Aerospace Aerostructures Military Contracts group, based in Jacksonville, FL. This an Onsite work position, eligible for relocation.

The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing contracts for the design and production of various aircraft and missiles structures. You will provide business advise to your assigned value stream leadership team and represent the organization in contract matters with the customer. You will support proposal development, provide data to senior leadership, and administer contracts to closeout.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Mentor and support a team of contracts professionals in expanding Govt contracts knowledge and overall business acumen to improve the financial position of the business.

• Manage pre-award functions from receipt of solicitation, proposal development, negotiations, and final contract review/signature.

• Draft, analyze, and negotiate statements of work, terms and conditions, data requirements, etc. to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.

• Manage existing contracts to ensure compliance to contract terms, identify and seek adjustment for out-of-scope changes and to mitigate risk.

• Operates collaboratively within the value stream leadership team of program managers, engineers, finance, supply chain, and operations to support program management and strategy and execution reviews to drive customer focused solutions.

• Provide flow down and guidance to the program team on the requirements and terms within the contract.

• Lead and/or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department and organizational performance and effectiveness.

• Coaches, guides and mentors junior professionals and reviews work products to ensure output is of quality and in accordance with company policy and business objectives.

• Able to travel 10% domestically.

Basic Required Qualifications/Experience Needed:

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior government contracts relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of government contracts experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant government contracts experience.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

• Must have a minimum of 7 years experience with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts - FAR/DFARS experience.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
