Arena Investors LP Senior Associate / Assistant Vice President - Private Credit Operations in Jacksonville, Florida

Arena Investors, LP (“Arena”) is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce. Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).

Quaestor Advisors, LLC (“Quaestor”) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.

Quaestor is looking to expand the team through the addition of an experienced loan Senior Associate/AVP to focus on internal loan administration. This individual will be exposed to each step in the origination life cycle of private and syndicated loans and other structured financing arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the internal and external loan operations team through the full life cycle of loan originations and other credit-based investments

  • Pre-deal closing assessment with Front and Mid Office for deal workflow

  • Loan documentation review, investment allocations, treasury, and structuring review to ensure proper settlement and closing of new deals

  • Administration and management of investments including borrower communication, cash monitoring, trade and accrual bookings, loan and interest statements, and reconciliations

  • Amendment, restructuring, and payoff/settlement processing

  • Full daily and monthly reconciliation process in connection with Fund NAV review

  • Strengthen process and controls framework with process enhancements, training, and technology

  • Management of internal databases (i.e. deal pipeline, CRM) and loan systems

  • Review of credit documentation for various types of loan facilities across platform

  • Reviewing daily position, cash, and accrual reconciliations from the Fund Administrator

  • Assist with supporting requests for annual audits and other regulatory filings

  • Provide analytical support to various groups – Marketing, Compliance, and Mid Office

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university, ideally in a quantitative area

  • 5+ years of direct experience in loan administration and/or agency at a securities or investment firm

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus) and writing skills

  • Private credit experience and familiarity with various financial instruments across industries

  • End-to-end deal closing and loan administration experience including loan setup, principal and interest processing, deal amendments, and payoffs

  • Wall Street Office (WSO), Loan IQ or equivalent system experience a plus

  • The highest level of personal integrity and ethical standards

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a team player

  • Ability to communicate at a high level and strong attention to detail
