SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for the integrity and

accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record journal entries for month-end close timely and accurately

  • Research and explain financial statement variances to trend and budget

  • Reconcile G/L accounts, identify issues, and business and accounting knowledge to

work with the appropriate parties to resolve the issue

  • Prepare reports and address questions for business segment leadership

  • Work with the Assistant Controller to fulfill audit requests for the annual audit

  • Participate in other projects as required

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Independent thinker who asks questions

  • Enjoys solving problems and finding creative solutions

  • Approaches work with a process improvement mindset
