The Opportunity

The Nodal Modeler provides technical or industry knowledge to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases while demonstrating capabilities with moderate level of oversight and collaboration with more senior level professionals. The scope and size of projects are generally smaller or smaller portions of a larger project. This position will have the opportunity to lead a small to medium size effort or project team and may delegate teamwork assignments through various phases of an engagement. The Modeler may manage projects from prospect to client deliverable. #LI-NK1 #LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs Nodal studies and analysis using PLEXOS

  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of energy markets and transmission analysis

  • Presents Nodal study results and findings to clients in written reports and presentations.

  • Works in a Consultative Environment: transfers knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others' knowledge and skill levels.

  • Contributes to quality review on own engagements.

  • Develops applicable knowledge bases by using best practices to redefine tools and techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.

  • 7+ years experience in a business/consulting environment. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient user in modeling software such as PLEXOS, AURORA, GE MAPS, PROMOD, or similar software

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to travel (approx. 10%)

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Virtual/Office Environment or Client Site - Travel up to 10%
