Jacksonville Products …think outside the engine. As a Production Assembler at our GE Jacksonville site, you will learn how to assemble electrical components and systems, (harnesses, sensors, igniters, leads and exciters) how to solder and operate/perform functional testing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

  • Assemble electrical components and systems (harnesses, sensors, igniters, leads and exciters)

  • Cut, strip, and crimp wire as required

  • Performs visual & basic measurement inspection of parts subsequent to assembly steps

  • Performs functional tests using a variety of equipment to verify accuracy and functionality (i.e. electrical, helium, and leak tests as required)

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

  • Follow written work instructions, processes, and procedures

  • Be trained to obtain all required certifications of department

  • Work with hazardous materials

  • Use a wide variety of hand and/or power tools as required

  • Ability to do weight measuring as required

  • Read and interpret dimensional measurements as required (calipers, and scales)

  • Be cross-train as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes

  • Basic computer skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic ERP skills

  • Basic written and verbal communications skills

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

  • High School diploma or GED

Desired Characteristics :

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Soldering and electronics manufacturing experience

  • Assembly and Braze experience

  • Dimensional and electrical training

  • Excellent attendance history

  • Ability to produce error free products

  • Strives to meet or exceed job requirements
