Akumin MRI Technologist, Remote Support (onsite) in Jacksonville, Florida

The Remote MRI Technologist is responsible for patient safety and performance of high-quality magnetic resonance studies and oversight of remote MR Technologist Assistants. Supports multiple systems working onsite. Ensures effective communication with radiologists, team members, and patients. Responsible for training and orientation of new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for remote operation of multiple MR systems to produce high quality diagnostic images. May be required to provide service on-site as needed.

  • Responsible for MR Technologist Assistant oversight of patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic injection technique.

  • Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.

  • Responsible for training and orientation of new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • 2 years of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience

  • Certified by the ARRT or ARMRIT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).

  • Licensed to perform Magnetic Resonance in all applicable states.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Working onsite to support multiple locations

  • 15% of Local travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

The employee may be exposed to exposed to a strong magnetic field.

More than 50% of the time:

  • Sit, stand, walk.

  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.

  • See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

  • Stoop, kneel or crawl.

  • Climb and balance.

  • Carry and lift up 10-20lbs.
