PeopleReady Marine Construction Carpenter in Jacksonville, Florida

As Marine Construction Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support our contractor in Jacksonville, FL.

The pay rate for this job is $20 - $23 / hour + DOE

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday | 8 hour shifts

  • Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products

  • Able to assist in a complete tear-down of existing structures in order to prep for new construction to take place

  • Transport materials and equipment from one location to another

  • Safely operate power tools and/or industrial equipment

  • Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, reporting onsite any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior experience in Marine Construction is a must

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination

  • Possess working knowledge of basic electrical work, roofing, and cement projects.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, to include enduring outdoor elements, swimming, lifting heavy objects up to 75 lbs., digging, and at times standing for long periods.

  • Working Knowledge of operating power tools and industrial machinery, such as excavators and cranes, are preferred.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary.

  • Must have own reliable transportation and valid insurance.

  • Pass a drug test (we are a drug free workplace)
