We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at our aerospace facility in Jacksonville, FLA . The primary focus of this position is to perform component installation, system maintenance and repair work as assigned and carry out preventive maintenance and service as required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative & planned maintenance on manufacturing floor equipment and lines as directed.

  • Obtain tools, material, and equipment for carrying out work assignments on electro-mechanical systems, control devices and related equipment. Equipment includes: Air compressors and systems, Vacuum pumps and systems, Bulk nitrogen system

  • Ensures quality and workmanship of repair

  • Assist others responsible for complex installation, overhaul and repair projects in preparing materials and operating equipment

  • Assist others working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills

  • Completed the daily work area clean up

  • Prompt reporting of malfunctioning equipment and machines

  • Working within EH&S guidelines as defined by OSHA

  • Training, obtaining, and maintaining licenses, operator permits, and certifications (as necessary)

  • Participation in Company and Department sponsored EH&S and Quality initiatives

  • Occasional exposure to chemicals, wearing a respirator when required

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:

  • HS Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience OR> AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience. Must have maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment

  • Must be able to perform planned/preventative maintenance

  • Electrician / Electrical certification

  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry perferred

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a US Citizen.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM

  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
