ASM Global Jr. Accounts Payable Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida

POSITION: Jr. Accounts Payable Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: Accounting Supervisor

FLSA STATUS: Full-time/Hourly/Non-exempt

Summary

ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Jr. Accounts Payable Clerk for ASM Jacksonville. Responsible for accounts payable functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Code invoices with proper general ledger account number in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Research vendor inquiries relating to past due accounts in a timely manner.

  • Researching any discrepancies on invoices and billing errors

  • Maintain adjustments and credit memos.

  • Verifying and obtaining approvals and/or purchase orders for all invoices

  • Entering invoices and credit memos into accounting software

  • Processing of AP checks on a bi-weekly basis

  • Reconciling of monthly vendor statements

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong organizational skills.

  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.

  • Must have extensive knowledge of MS Office

  • Must have the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management and clients.

  • Must have the ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree preferred or similar combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 1 year accounting experience required with concentration in payables, and/or journal entries.

  • Excellent math skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of word processing software; willing to learn and use accounting and financial reporting software.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics software a plus.
