Integriward LLC General Maintenance Worker in Jacksonville, Florida

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting for the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) and Air and Marine Operations (AMO) facilities and real property.The General Maintenance Workeris responsible for performing all types of building maintenance, construction and repair tasks that require knowledge and application of a variety of trade practices associated with such occupations as electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, pipefitting, and HVAC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PRIMARY -

  • Must have a working knowledge of work practices, methods, processes, and skills in a variety of trade areas, to include electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, ironwork, painting, concrete work, HVAC, fire protection, earthwork, irrigation, and other required repairs.
  • Must be able to work independently to support maintenance and repair activities by maintaining facilities, associated grounds, and related structures.
  • Perform troubleshooting to determine underlying cause of issue(s) and identify the most effective and efficient manner in which to proceed to make necessary repairs.
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints, factory manuals, and operating manuals sufficient to accomplish the described tasks.
  • Must have knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the General Maintenance Worker field.

SECONDARY -

  • Knowledge of standard environmental methods, practices and techniques used in an industrial or commercial environment, preferably government related environment.
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with Project Manager and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
  • Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.
