Lift Power Inc Dock & Door Estimator in Jacksonville, Florida

Lift Power is currently seeking an Estimator to join our Dock and Door team. The Estimator will take on the task of creating precise, prompt, and competitive bids for Commercial Industrial Doors and Loading Dock Equipment. This role involves supporting our sales staff to ensure profitable sales.

  • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

  • Maintains contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations.

  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements.

  • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.

  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

  • Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.

  • Continually updates technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

  • Dock and Door Knowledge Required

  • Experience reading plans, specs, and doing take-offs

  • Cost effective problem-solving and assertive decision making

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes quickly
