Description

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading research and development efforts for new technologies, conducting troubleshooting sessions, and engaging in design consultations with consumers. As an integral part of our organization, the Azure Data Solutions Architect will provide invaluable internal consulting services to all development teams and play a pivotal role in crafting end-to-end data solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks in the Azure data ecosystem. Evaluate their potential to enhance existing solutions or introduce innovative approaches to address business challenges.

  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Act as a subject matter expert in Azure data services, proactively identify potential issues, and offer solutions to address performance bottlenecks, data integrity problems, and system scalability challenges.

  • Design Consultations: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and lead design sessions to create efficient and scalable data solutions using Azure services.

  • Internal Consulting Services: Provide expert advice and guidance to development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders in matters related to data architecture, cloud technologies, data governance, security, and compliance.

  • Solution Design and Implementation: Create robust and scalable architectural designs that align with industry best practices and comply with organizational standards. Work closely with development teams to implement these designs effectively.

  • Proof of Concepts (POCs): Lead the creation and execution of proof of concept projects to validate the feasibility of new technologies and ideas, showcasing their potential impact on the organization's data landscape.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Azure data services and other related technologies. Implement best practices to optimize existing data solutions continuously and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Documentation and Training: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and guidelines. Conduct training sessions for teams to ensure successful adoption of recommended solutions.

  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate risks associated with data-related projects and initiatives, proposing risk mitigation strategies and backup plans to ensure project success and data integrity.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Solutions Architect, Cloud Solutions Architect, or a similar role with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.

  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions using Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Cosmos DB, and other related services.

  • Strong knowledge of data integration techniques, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.

  • Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, C#, or PowerShell for data manipulation and automation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.

  • Strong understanding of security and compliance principles in the context of cloud-based data solutions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are a plus.
