Job Description

The Information Technology Division is actively seeking a Change Manager.

The Change Manager (CM) reports to the PMO Manager and is responsible for handling the change management of Information technology Division ITD) projects of various sizes. The CM is responsible for ensuring IT projects are met on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. The CM will assist in managing IT project communications between IT and its business partners and ensuring that critical training milestones, updates, and relevant communications are distributed in a timely manner. The CM will work closely will project managers to coordinate timing and properly manage stakeholder expectations.

The CM will be the subject matter expert for Change Guide organizational development, encompassing changes in company culture, structure, and internal processes related to technology. A significant part of the job will be to ensure employee engagement, ensures changes are communicated effectively, and staff are supported throughout the transition. The CM is responsible for the employee adoption of new technology and processes implemented by ITD, while providing excellent customer service to our business partners. Acceptance of new changes will be largely dependent on the CM’s ability to show the value of these changes and address the concerns of the business at every level.

  • Enables effective communication between ITD and its business partners.

  • Leads and supports training efforts to ensure process adoption from all stakeholders.

  • Applies interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at every level of the organization.

  • Leverages experiences with change management to safely guide the organization and project stakeholders through large scale changes.

  • Performs autonomously and flexibly in ambiguous situations while collaborating with team members and maintaining open lines of communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying change messages to diverse audiences. The ability to articulate the rationale behind change initiatives and address stakeholder concerns is critical.

  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder analysis and engagement, including the ability to identify key stakeholders, assess their level of influence and interest, and develop tailored communication and engagement strategies.

  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to effectively plan, execute, and monitor change initiatives. Experience in coordinating cross-functional project teams and managing timelines and deliverables.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess the impact of changes on various aspects of the organization, including processes, systems, culture, and people. Strong analytical skills to identify risks, opportunities, and dependencies related to change initiatives.

  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable mindset to navigate uncertainty and ambiguity inherent in change processes. The ability to pivot and adjust strategies based on feedback and changing circumstances.

  • Leadership and Influence: Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams, facilitate collaboration, and drive change across the organization. The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster a culture of change readiness and resilience.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and implement corrective actions as needed throughout the project.

Open Requirements/Supplemental Information

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in business administration, organizational psychology, human resources, or a related field with at least 3 years of organizational change management.

  • Experience leading change initiatives across various organizational functions and levels is highly valued.

  • Change Management certifications required (for example Prosci Change Management Certification or Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)).

Preferred

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
