Job Description

The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) is a highly skilled and critical member of the healthcare team, specializing in the administration of anesthesia. Working in close collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other medical professionals, the CRNA plays a pivotal role in pediatric patient care, ensuring safe and effective anesthesia management across a diverse range of surgical procedures.

- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic studies.

- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans, administer pre-anesthetic medication, and secure informed consent.

- Utilize advanced monitoring techniques to maintain patient stability throughout all surgical phases.

- Manage patient recovery from anesthesia, providing post-operative care and pain management.

- Respond promptly to emergency situations with proficient airway management and life support interventions.

- Collaborate with the anesthesia team to uphold high-quality care standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Skills and Requirements

Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program that is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program (COA) or its predecessor

BA in Nursing

Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure

Current Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists or it predecessor with biannual recertification required

AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS required null
