Our Sturtevant, WI location is part of our Meat Division and creates dry seasoning blends for meat and snacks items that spice up the life of Kerry customers. What You'll Do

The typical hiring range for this role is $33 to $39 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).

$1.50 shift differential and $2,500 sign on Bonus available.

3rd Shift 9 pm to 5 am

General Statement of Responsibilities: Maintain and repair production and manufacturing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all established Kerry LIFE Safety, Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and processing policies with an eye towards Quality.

  • Adhere to all LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures while performing work on equipment as required.

  • This includes, but is NOT limited to:

  • Preventative maintenance procedures.

  • Predictive maintenance procedures.

  • Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

  • Troubleshooting 480V

  • PLC programing and troubleshooting

  • Electrical Troubleshooting

  • Ability to work within a computerized maintenance management system technology to organize work orders

  • Proper bearing installations.

  • Proper alignment techniques, (sprocket/sheave alignments, coupling alignments).

  • Use of measuring tools, (tape measures, calipers, gauges).

  • Reading mechanical schematics.

  • Motor wiring skills.

  • Electrical troubleshooting skills.

What You'll Need To Be Successful And Safe

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Formal certifications and/or AAS or equivalent in relevant field preferred.

  • Advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery.

  • Experience with load cells/ weight displays/ Metal Detectors/ Pneumatic cylinders/ Variable frequency drive wiring and parameter entering/ Bag sealer knowledge (Fischbein PBC 6000)/ Conveyors.

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.

  • Median computer and report writing skills.

  • Use and understanding of Predictive tools preferred.

  • Infrared Thermography

    Working Conditions: Food Manufacturing Facility Hot/Cold enviornment

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.

    Ability to lift 50 pounds.

    Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.
