Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class Heat Transfer Solutions Group combines knowledge of customers’ processes with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled services and superior heat transfer platform products across multiple industry sectors. Here you’ll interact daily with the team ensuring safety is baked into our cultural DNA while partnering with other key stakeholders to support our employees and operations.

How will you make a difference?

Provide overall leadership and direction to the assigned area by ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the facilities, employees, and operations. The Area Supervisor will maintain discipline of employees, set work schedules, maintain policies, provide coaching to team leads and operators, and uphold Wabtec Values. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Site Lead.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Meet goals for Safety, Production volumes, Quality, and cost efficiencies.

  • Work with other area site leaders to keep production flow.

  • Approve employee times and vacation.

  • Enforce company policies and procedures.

  • Make sure all quality issues are addressed and corrective actions are created.

  • Maintain a team environment, focuses on completing department goals.

  • Promote, and participate in all lean activities, 6S, Kaizens, Lessons Learned, etc..

  • Maintain Schedule, and daily scans.

  • Maintain Daily Gemba, and production matrix.

  • Able to assume more duties as required to meet a changing environment.

What do we want to know about you? Do you have:

  • Strong Problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle, Reliance, Workday

  • Understand/Demonstrate ability to utilize lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to lead in a group setting as well as independently

  • Strong Work Ethic

  • Conflict Resolution skills

  • 2 - 4 years of experience, in manufacturing

  • 2 - 4 years of experience with time and attendance systems,

  • 2 - 4 years of experience with Oracle or SAP

  • Strong knowledge of products, and procedures

  • Ability to adapt and flex in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, improve culture, and influence

  • Proficient in data analytics, systems navigation, and information management

  • Requires daily face-to-face interaction with employees in an operations environment

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
