We are currently hiring experienced Press Operator on 1st shift, starting at $20.50/hour. MAT Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of air compressors in the Jackson community located at 213 Industrial Dr., Jackson, TN 38301.

Hours are 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm , overtime would be scheduled on Friday and possibly some Saturdays. Our ten-hour shift offers THREE PAID breaks along with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Job Description
REQUIRED: Experience setting up and running presses / occasionally progressive presses.
2 years experience in operating a Progressive Die 300 to 800 ton press.
Experience in LINK systems automation controls
Follow all safety regulations and encourage co-workers to follow safety regulations.
Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co-workers to follow company policies and procedures.
Read and interpret blueprints for product specifications.
Conduct quality inspections of work.
Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns.
Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits on production items.
Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project status.
Assist in training of junior employees, inspecting their work.
Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work.
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.
Actively participate in the development of a LEAN manufacturing culture.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
2+ years' work experience operating progressive die presses, overhead cranes
2+ years' experience with LINK systems automation controls
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
