A Test Engineer in the Jackson, MS area is needed for a multinational power management company. This position will design, develop, and execute test plans and automated scripts to ensure product quality and reliability, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, performance, and regression testing.

  • Design and implement automated test scripts and frameworks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Robot Framework).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define test objectives, and identify test scenarios.

  • Perform manual and automated testing, including test execution, defect tracking, and test result analysis.

  • Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and requirement discussions to provide input on testability, quality, and reliability.

  • Analyze test results and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Maintain and enhance test environments, tools, and data repositories for consistency and reliability.

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and test automation.

  • Share knowledge and insights with the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • 3-6 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles.

  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Robot Framework) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
