Baptist Memorial Mechanic - JS Plant Operations Facility Services MBMC in Jackson, Mississippi

Summary

Handles duties relating to general maintenance of plumbing, electrical and minor construction repair issues. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance to various buildings, departments and office areas as directed.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and safety equipment in and around the facility.

  • Performs general repairs to facility systems, plumbing, electrical, wall mounted items and minor construction issues.

  • Replace acoustical ceiling tiles.

  • Completes assigned tasks.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Preferred: High School graduate or equivalent

Minimum: Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

Preferred: 5 years of experience in construction or general maintenance in a healthcare setting.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: DRIVER'S LICENSE (CURRENT)

Special Skills

Minimum: Ability to operate saws and other related carpentry tools.

Training

Preferred: Completion of Vocational or Technical Training Program is desired but not required for hire
