JOB TITLE: Welder Fabricator COMPENSATION: *Up to - $25.00 per hour *LOCATION: *Manchester, Mi *SHIFT: Monday to Thursday 6:30am-3:15pm, Friday 6:30am-2pm. Some overtime may be required (estimated 10% of the time).

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to fabricate and assemble metal components according to blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and a strong mechanical aptitude. This position offers the opportunity for growth and advancement within our organization, with the potential for temp-to-hire placement for the right candidate.

The Fabricator/Welder job description includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Will need weld helmet
  • Fabrication-To print and aiding in development.
  • Deburr and clean up welds and edges of material.
  • Installation at customer's facilities
  • Quality checking your work and the work of others.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Set up and operate saw, break press, shear and all required shop.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate metal assemblies accurately.
  • Operate and maintain various fabrication equipment, including saws, plasma cutting machines, welders, and press brake machines.
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG techniques, ensuring quality welding presentation, penetration, and squareness to print.
  • Fabricate and assemble ductwork and piping systems according to specifications.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to codes and standards during the fabrication process.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure the accuracy and integrity of fabricated components.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
  • Run saws, power tools/hand tools, shear, break press, plasma cutter, bridge port, and drill press as needed.

Skills:

3+ years of experience in MIG welding (Required), TIG welding experience preferred.

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes.

Proficiency with plasma cutting machines, pipe threading, and machining equipment.
