Position: Material Analyst

Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00

 

Summary: Provides support through daily operations related to customer order entry,

forecast analysis, OSP management.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Completion of purchase orders for outside shipping services. Tracking all parts at Outside Service Processing's (OSP) to ensure timely return (within lead time).
  2. Provide communications support with Outside Services Suppliers and Customer Base as required.
  3. Updating all customer orders and forecasts as received.
  4. Assists in the completion of a Plan for every Part (PFEP).
  5. Update and maintain MRP functions within tracking system.
  6. Assists in the completion of a Materials Management Operational Guide (MMOG).
  7. Participates in APQP/ECN in relation to Material planning.
  8. Manages obsolescence due to Engineering Change Notice (ECN) or End of Program (EOP).
  9. Creates detailed work instructions for all facets of material planning/analysis.
  10. Researches and resolves all inventory related problems with Scheduling, Shipping and/or Management.
  11. Tracking materials usage and movement, providing data to management/planning as needed in the form of logs and tracking reports.
  12. Consistently adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including environmental and quality standards.
  13. Provides support to Engineering, Tool Room and related departments in the areas of Material Planning.
  14. Issues written and oral instructions.
  15. Commits to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality and Environmental Management systems.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

skill, and/or ability required.

  1. Perform all duties in a professional, productive manner, with emphasis on our Quality and Safety Policies.
  2. Works under the supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
  3. Is skillful in the operation of typically used related tools, materials, and equipment.

Education and/or Experience:

Min. high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with two years Shipping,

Receiving and/or Material Handling experience. Prefer some college coursework with

classes in Business Communications, Technical Math, Accounting and Organizational

Behavior.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,

proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of

basic algebra and geometry.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must maintain Fork Truck License.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  1. Requires knowledge of Cycle Counting and Inventory Controls-Accuracy Programs.
  2. Prior work in an MRP/DRP systems environment.
  3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications.
  4. Must maintain above average problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organization skills.
