What’s the job?

  • Provide industrial automation support for the CertainTeed Siding plant located in Jackson, MI. This position entails the management, daily troubleshooting support, design and solution implementation of all industrial networks on the manufacturing plant floor, including servers, switches, HMI industrial PCs and numerous PLCs.

  • Manage and maintain industrial network servers, computers and virtual machines.

  • Support network related upgrades including writing capital requests.

  • Support network related upgrades including writing capital requests.

  • Support and troubleshoot PLCs and associated IO devices.

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering

  • Additional training/certifications related to the position

  • 3 – 5 years of experience preferred in leadership role

  • Key technologies specifically related to the role – PLC programming (willingness to learn Allen Bradley, Modicon, etc.

  • Good communication skills, ability to multi-task, willingness to learn, organized

  • Specific soft skills to be successful in the role – good listener, open minded, respectful to all

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed
