Join our dedicated team as a Maintenance Technician where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our properties by handling various maintenance tasks with professionalism and efficiency. Immerse yourself in a range of experiences while completing service calls including preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other property & grounds maintenance assignments.

Duties

  • Building Maintenance: Execute building maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, service requests, capital improvements, and turnover maintenance.
  • Craftsmanship: Demonstrate proficiency in general maintenance, carpentry, painting, electric repair, HVAC repair & plumbing repair, or display willingness to learn and grow in these areas.
  • Property Improvement: Maintain constant awareness while on owned and managed properties to make immediate improvements as required. Make recommendations to improve the overall appearance, efficiency & effectiveness at the properties to help achieve company and community goals.
  • Exterior Maintenance: Occasionally perform exterior maintenance and landscaping tasks including lawn care, pruning shrubs and trees, weeding, insect control, and removal of clippings as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines for the operation of tools and equipment as well as ensuring compliance with building, safety, and health codes.
  • Emergency Response: Be on-call and able to respond to after-hour emergency calls and weather conditions at all properties.
  • Tenant Relations: Maintain positive relations with tenants, customers, staff, and the corporate office. Support our continued growth by performing other related duties as assigned and contributing to the overall mission of the company as needed.

You Have

  • Relevant Experience: 2+ years working in property management, general maintenance, painting, carpentry, HVAC, electric, and/or plumbing.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Experience operating equipment & tools of the trade including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, and riding equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience troubleshooting appliances and mechanical operating systems as well as following processes/instructions for repair.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

You Should Be Able To

  • Lift & Carry: Frequently lift, move, or carry items weighing 50+ pounds.
  • Maneuver Properties: Move about properties often including ascending/descending of stairs and ladders.
  • Be Flexible & Mobile: Bend, squat, kneel, twist, and walk for periods of time while inspecting/addressing properties or equipment.
  • Operate Devices: Frequently operate electronic devices for communication and task management.
  • Exchange Information: Communicate with tenants, vendors, and colleagues to exchange accurate information.
  • Inspect Projects: Observe, inspect, and assess maintenance projects which includes travel to and from property locations on a regular basis.
