Job Title: Patient Advocacy Lead

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Takeda Turkey operates in Turkey since 2009; we are providing better health to patients in different therapeutic areas which are Oncology, Hematology, Rare Genetic Diseases, Immunology and GI.

At Takeda Pharmaceuticals, we are seeking a creative, highly motivated, and compassionate individual to join us as a Lead in Patient Advocacy. This pivotal role focuses on engaging with patient advocacy groups to advocate for the favorable policy environment for disease management and innovative treatments.

Based in Istanbul, the Patient Advocacy Lead will report to the Market Access and Public Affairs Director.

How you will contribute:

  • Internal Project Management: Lead and coordinate internal Patient Advocacy (PA) project team meetings, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate PA projects across various stakeholders, identifying interdependencies, milestones, and potential risks.

  • Milestone Tracking: Maintain and update milestones in internal tracking and workflow documents.

  • Facilitation: Facilitate projects, initiatives, and project meetings, fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Project Scope Management: Create/maintain project scope, timelines, budgets, team, project plan, and project objectives/goals.

  • Strategic Discussions: Facilitate strategic discussions with core team members across multi-functional groups.

  • Progress Monitoring: Track and monitor project progress, including financials, schedule, resource constraints, risks, and contract status.

  • Presentations: Prepare and conduct presentations to all levels of the organization, communicating project updates and goals.

  • Documentation and Tools: Work with PA Leads to prepare and maintain required project management documents and tools, enhancing team communication and meeting planning.

  • Administration Support: Support project administration by capturing and issuing agendas, meeting minutes, and ensuring adherence to timelines.

  • Integration of Core Values: Understand and integrate Takeda's core values and behaviors into daily project interactions.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor degree in social science, public health, or a related field.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical Competency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Adaptability: Ability to identify needs from multiple stakeholders, translate terms and concepts for different audiences, and work collaboratively across internal functions.

  • Project Management: Strong project and program management skills.

  • Bio-Pharmaceutical Experience: Experience in the bio-pharmaceutical environment with exposure to rare disease and patient advocacy is a plus.

  • Advocacy Experience: Experience (2+ years) in patient advocacy and policy environment.

  • Language Skills: Fluent in English.

  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patient advocacy groups, professional associations, and expert stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and leadership teams to achieve collective goals.

  • Multi-Project Management: Project management and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Public Speaking: Confident personal presence, with skills in public speaking and experience managing live activities/programs.

  • Initiative and Ethical Judgment: A self-starter, independent, and self-motivated, with exceptional ethical judgment.
