Job Description

Job Title: Medical Scientific Liaison

Location: Turkiye, Istanbul

About the role:

Medical Scientific Liaison will be reporting to Therapeutic Area Lead and will work in field for the company and be responsible for providing up-to-date and accurate medical information/ guidance/ support about products and related diseases area to internal and external stakeholders

How you will contribute:

Role Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Ensures high standard of professionalism to develop and maintain “peer-to-peer” scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL) in healthcare, academia, payer, and government organizations per strategic territory plans and as requested by KOLs, including the management of strategic scientific partnerships and scientific exchange

  • Through compliant scientific exchange, builds and maintains professional relationships with external stakeholders to expand Takeda’s research, advisory and educational partnership opportunities

  • Communicates key medical insights from KOLs/Healthcare Professionals (HCP) to cross-functional teams to inform refinement of medical and brand strategies and tactics

  • Submit and record KOL/HCP interactions and medical insights through CRM and/or CUE in compliant with Takeda SOPs in a timely manner

  • Presents clinical, diagnostic and disease state information to a variety of audiences, including KOLs, other HCPs, Takeda internal teams, third parties.

  • Responds to HCP questions and collaborates with them to provide scientific information regarding diagnostics

  • Respond within defined timeline and quality standards to medical information requests from HCPs and other stakeholders and referred to Global Medical Affairs in case publication is needed

  • Serves as scientific resource for KOLs/HCPs at key medical, scientific, and patient advocacy, scientific meetings as assigned upon request

  • Provide technical liaison support to Investigators currently involved in the Takeda’s Company sponsored interventional or observational studies and investigator-initiated trials, registries upon request

  • Prepares and conducts therapeutic training for cross-functional teams including Sales, Medical, Marketing, PS, RA, MAPA, PV, QA colleagues and related third parties

  • Provide scientific input and participate in medical and cross-functional initiatives

  • Develop and increase medical knowledge and critical appraisal of scientific expertise on all assigned therapeutic disease areas and Takeda products

  • Timely processing of all reported adverse events must fully understand the adverse event reporting (Pharmacovigilance) standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Role Mandatory Responsibilities

  • To act in-line with Takeda’s “Information Security Policy” and “Acceptable use of the Technology Policy”

  • Being a Quality and Safety Ambassador communicating product quality and safety issues to Quality and PV Teams in a timely manner

  • Excels ethical behavior: Act with integrity and as a role model for Takeda's values, ethics and values-based decision making (Takeda-ism) at all times.

  • Training & Compliance: Timely completion of all mandatory global trainings and compliance with Takeda policies & procedures

  • Speak-up for Integrity: Raising concerns in a good faith to Ethics Line, first line manager and/or E&C Team

What you bring to Takeda:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine or Pharmacy

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal

  • Medical, clinical or research experience in the assigned disease area is preferred

  • Strong commitment to compliance and to scientific quality and integrity

  • Able to work effectively in virtual teams and on multi-disciplinary teams;

  • Capable of understanding and interpreting clinical outcomes and advancing opportunities and/or outputs for scientific exchange within focus disease areas

  • Superior communication and presentation skills both Turkish and English

  • Strong leadership, influencing and strategic planning skills,

  • Highly qualified presentation skills

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with ability to skillfully plan, manage and prioritize projects independently; demonstrates resilience and flexibility while planning and organizing multiple priorities

  • Maintain and demonstrate thorough and up-to-date knowledge of disease state, study methodology, clinical information, and diagnostic data
