Job Description

Our HR and EHS Services department is looking for a new colleague - an experienced Global IT Service Owner - with expertise in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management to oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of our EHS-related IT systems. responsible for driving excellence and innovation within EHS Services Danfoss.

You will be working closely with Business, senior IT Consultants and our Capability Architect to ensure the end-to-end delivery of our EHS solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management, along with expertise in EHS regulations, standards, and best practices. As our EHS IT Service owner you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our EHS IT systems meet regulatory requirements, support operational needs, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and roadmap development for EHS-related IT systems, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with EHS subject matter experts, IT teams, and external vendors to define system requirements, design solutions, and implement new technologies.

  • Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of EHS software applications, ensuring compatibility and functionality across platforms.

  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, coordinating testing and validation processes to maintain system integrity and reliability.

  • Monitor system performance and user feedback, proactively identifying issues and implementing corrective actions to optimize usability and efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, support business in creating training materials, and user guides to support system users and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in EHS management, providing recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT and EHS teams, promoting cross-functional partnerships and knowledge sharing.

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT service management, with a focus on EHS systems and applications.

  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001), and industry best practices.

  • We appreciate if you have knowledge of and experience with the following platforms/technologies: Quentic,SynergiLife, ChemWatch, man-down technologies.

  • Experience with complex IT projects from conception to implementation, including system design, configuration, and deployment.

  • Experience with EHS software applications such as EHS management systems, incident reporting tools, and risk assessment software.

  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management principles; ITIL certification is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • StrongBusiness analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
