Providence St. Joseph Health Associate Special Events Coordinator in Issaquah, Washington

Description Associate Special Events Coordinator (On-Call, Variable Shift) SCHEDULE: 6a-2:30p PST; Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS. Per Diem, as needed. **Position mainly reports at Swedish Issaquah but may be assigned to other Swedish Locations when needed. This position coordinates all conference services logistics beginning with requests for use of space from a variety of clients including internal and external business partners, vendors, educators, executives, physicians, and members of the broader community. Coordinators are tasked with scheduling events, celebrations, classes, trainings, meetings, and regulatory compliance audits, among other room uses, across a system wide portfolio of Conference Centers and rooms. Locations include Swedish hospitals in Issaquah, Ballard, Cherry Hill, First Hill, and Edmonds as well as other spaces outside main hospitals, depending on the campus. Conference Services Coordinators serve as the first point of contact for guests and employees seeking a reservation making it imperative that a positive, warm, and welcoming tone be utilized in all communication. Using extensive knowledge of all areas of the hospital and surrounding campus, Conference Coordinators support client requests by providing information, access control, wayfinding, and acting as a go-between for triaging operational issues that arise. This role maintains the schedule and event calendar, physical condition, cleanliness, and operational excellence of conference services areas. Coordinators will address variances to the department standards through the enforcement of Swedish policies and procedures, and by involving appropriate partners and leadership through the established chain of command and prescribed workflows. The coordinator is responsible for modeling the appropriate and correct way to answer questions and is regarded as the expert on available services, timeline expectations, and location offerings in all areas Conference Services operates. Required Qualifications: 1 year Related hospitality, event planning and/or conference center experience providing exceptional customer service dealing extensively with the public.
