Whitsons Culinary Group Production Lead - Islandia Culinary Assembly in Islandia, New York

This position is responsible for leading production lines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Oversee assembly line to ensure the team is following all proper and safe product assembly. • Supervise production assembly work. • Provide instruction to complete assembly assignments. • Subordinates perform assembly of products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions given by the Line Lead. • Provides guidance to encourage efficiency and best practices. • Ensure that all procedures are followed for safe food handling • Assists team in assembly of product in proper containers. • Perform all other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically the packing and warehousing areas • Standing most of the workday is required. • Work requires movement in and out of storerooms, near heavy machinery and freezers • Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
