Job Description

The Product Owner will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and defining the roadmap that aligns with the business goals, by collaborating with the stakeholders, and senior management. This position will be working with various cross functional teams to deliver on time, high quality software products that are of utmost value to the organization, by ensuring the standardized processes are adopted during the software development life cycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the overall business technology roadmap and supports the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Proactively engage with key internal stakeholders to gather requirements and gain insights into pain points and opportunities for technology-driven improvements.

  • Elicit clear and detailed product requirements through workshops, interviews, and other effective techniques, ensuring a deep understanding of business needs and desired outcomes.

  • Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories and epics and maintain a prioritized product backlog that aligns with the organization's priorities and timelines.

  • Manage the complete Software Development Lifecycle and coordinate releases.

  • Perform Scrum Master functions such as schedule and lead the release planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming and daily scrum activities.

  • Ensure all the development tasks are thoroughly tested and adhere to quality standards.

  • Publish and maintain product roadmap, release plan, schedule, issues list, status report, and meeting agenda with action items.

  • Ensure the product team delivers against schedule, scope, resource/cost, and quality targets using the Scrum framework.

  • Ensure standardized processes are adhered to across software development lifecycle and release management.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to facilitate the adoption of the product and process, supporting change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Utilize data analytics and user feedback to assess product performance, identify areas for optimization, and drive continuous improvement efforts.

  • Anticipate potential risks and challenges in product development and deployment, developing mitigation plans and contingency strategies as needed.

  • Ensure that all technology solutions comply with industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies.

  • Clearly demonstrate command and control of meetings (as appropriate) has total respect and confidence from the team.

  • Construct presentation material, and deliver it, to audiences of any level.

  • Lead product teams in adopting Agile / Scrum methodology via training and coaching.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the Technology organization.

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management or other relevant fields is required.

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on delivering technology solutions is required.

  • Certifications in product or project management i.e., CSM, CSPO or PMP are preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, product management, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

  • Excellent experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and software development tools, such as JIRA or Trello.

  • Experience working in .NET, Angular, ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other business-critical systems is preferred.

  • The ideal candidate would have worked closely with development teams.
