CW-IT Project Management Analyst IV

TIAA is seeking a Senior Program Manager responsible for managing portfolio of complex initiatives spanning multiple lines of business across multiple platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously

  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives

  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues

  • Work with multiple project team members, including Business Analysts, Project Managers, Technical Leads, Developers, QA, and other System Analysts throughout each project.

Job Description

Nuveen, a subsidiary of TIAA, is looking for a seasoned Project Manager, with Eagle STAR and PACE application knowledge, to join Middle Office Technology team.


Candidate will be part of the Middle Office Technology that supports Accounting, Cash Management, Reconciliation, Reference Data and Investment Performance functions. As part of the team the candidate will be responsible for managing projects for implementing solutions using Eagle Investment System’s Eagle product suite.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage large strategic projects, small enhancement projects, process improvement projects

• Manage IT and Operations stakeholder’s expectations in support of projects goals and deliverables

• Prepare and provide communication related to project goals, status, risks, and issues to project stakeholders

• Lead meetings with steering committees, IT & Ops leadership teams and project teams

• Develop high-level work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and budgets for application development projects.

• Collaborate across Business and IT teams to understand business and functional requirements, work with the project team to develop implementation plans and execute the plan in alignment with established architectures

• Understand current and target state business processes and functions being impacted by the project and lead the preparation of integration and user acceptance test plans

• Manage the integration and user acceptance test execution

• Track project issues and ensure these are resolved in a pragmatic and timely manner.

Required Skills

• Candidate must have 15+ years of experience on projects related to Asset management Middle Office technology

• Candidate must have 7-10 years of IT Project Management experience

• Candidate must have 7-10 years of implementation experience with the Eagle product suite

• Candidate must have hands-on functional analysis experience with the Eagle product suite

• Candidate must have executed project using agile methodology.

• Candidate must be proficient in Jira, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Clarity

• Candidate must have Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Candidate must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Candidate must be detailed oriented and extremely organized

• Candidate must be innovative, energetic and have good inter personal skills to be able to work with a diverse group of individuals (on and off shore developers, business analysts, Operations team, Senior management)

• Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of relational database concepts, working knowledge of SQL

• Knowledge of Investment Accounting, Investment Performance and Data Management

• Understanding of Portfolio Accounting, Reference Data Management, Investment Performance, Corporate Action, Trade Processing, Derivatives and Collateral Management business processes

• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

• PMP certifications is plus
