Keystone Collections Group Business Analyst in Irwin, Pennsylvania

The Business Analyst acts as a domain expert for internal business systems, client-facing applications, and end user solutions.  The BA identifies and creates business cases for new systems or improvements to existing systems; defines the project’s objectives, scope, and detailed requirements.  During development, the BA provides a user-based perspective to design, development, and user experience concerns.   The BA is responsible for the smooth rollout of the system providing the necessary training and support to internal and external users.   Hybrid work location schedule.

This position provides vision, direction, and motivation to the project team.  The BA works closely with the Business Process team interacting frequently with key IT leadership.  Additionally, the BA spends significant time with operational and business groups understanding their problems and improvement opportunities. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies new opportunities to grow business or make operational improvements by reviewing existing processes, interviewing current users and staying current with industry changes. 

  • Conducts initial investigation into new or enhanced solutions building a solid business case and advocating for initiating the project. 

  • Defines the scope and detailed requirements for new or enhanced business processes.

  • Works with operational teams to document business process workflows used to train team members and identify potential bottlenecks. 

  • Serves as a liaison between development team and end-users.

  • Develops appropriate application training and delivers audience-appropriate training. 

  • Conducts regular reviews and analysis of current business processes using operational metrics and reports.

  • Performs User Acceptance Testing evaluating functional and non-functional performance of the system prior to launch.

  • Acts as point of contact for internal staff on specific business processes and the systems that support those processes.

  • With the Business Analyst and SW Development Manager, provides the project team a concise vision and creates a positive team environment. 

    Job Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or MBA

  • Experience:  3 + years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or related role producing software solutions.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise with testing web and internal business applications.

  • Experience using software testing tools such as Selenium; scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python; and non-functional test tools such as LoadRunner.

  • Experience with continuous integration tooling in a MS environment. 

  • Experience testing relational databases such as MS SQL in a high transaction environment.

  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams using agile practices. 

  • Willingness to learn from mistakes, take feedback from others, and independently develop technical and behavioral skills. 

  • Collaborative working style that values team success of individual success.
