Job Description

Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE) is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic professional to join SAE civil Sales department located in the USA.

The position of Sales Director has the main responsibility of ensuring the (co-)management of Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE) and CFM sales campaigns for Engines and Services in the Americas region and for a defined customer portfolio, in compliance with the sales objectives of CFM and SAE and the commercial policy of SAE.

He/she will define the sales strategy for customers in the region in collaboration with partner GE Aerospace, secure sales contracts and ensure customer satisfaction in the region.

He/she will lead the internal Safran Business Team and manage the commercial relationship with GE Aerospace on the contracts under his/her responsibility.

Due to the distribution of responsibilities between the two partners SAE and GE Aerospace within CFM, the Americas region is under the lead of our partner GE Aerospace. Sales objectives will be defined in coordination with the GE Aerospace sales teams following standard CFM procedures.

MISSIONS:

  • Ensure coordination and good relations between the two CFM partners for commercial and marketing actions in the Americas region

  • Participate with local sales teams in all activities in the region (Conferences, Trade Shows, Exhibitions, Ceremonies, etc.) and contribute to the promotion of CFM and SAE products

  • Develop relational and personal network with all the customers in the portfolio, at all levels

  • Through knowledge of the customers and coordination with GE Sales, anticipate the proposal strategy in order to facilitate its appropriation by SAE

  • Contribute to the development of the sales strategy with GE for the customers in the portfolio, discuss it with GE to arrive at the strategy best suited to each deal, in accordance with SAE's commercial policy

  • Propose or construct together with GE Sales the value proposition

  • Support internal teams for validation of commercial offers in due time and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Remain involved in sales campaigns until contracts are signed, support GE Sales in contractual negotiations for customers in the portfolio, and monitor the execution of signed contracts in order to resolve any commercial disputes as quickly as possible

  • With local GE Sales teams, identify needs for engines and services beyond RFPs to feed into the CFM and SAE Sales plan

  • Formalize feedback (Return of Experience) from past campaigns to improve future ones. Manage Flow-Down reviews of signed contracts to the customer teams responsible for executing these contracts

  • Contribute to the Sales Department's Progress Plan and support all transversal approaches with required Sales inputs and by representing the voice of customers inside SAE.

  • Ensure Trade compliance monitoring in accordance with the sales rules in force at SAE and CFM.

  • Sell SAE products (LEAP Flight Line LRU services, SFCO2, etc.)

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

-Education : Bachelor's or higher degree in engineering or business administration

-Language Skills : Fluent in English; proficient in French preferred.

-Experience: 10 years + experience in sales and/or aftersales role and at least 5 years in the aviation industry.

-Ability to travel 30%

-Having strong learning ability and communication skills

-Team player with a collaborative mindset

  • Good interpersonal skills; diplomatic

  • Comfortable working with various levels of management

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet

deadlines autonomously

  • Strong negotiation skills, including contractual negotiations
