Citigroup SVP, Credit Portfolio Group Manager (Residential Real Estate Portfolio-Servicing Risk) - Hybrid in Irving, Texas

Citi’s has one of largest US bank owned residential real estate portfolios (US-RRE) comprising more than $100 billion in receivables. You will be joining the US RRE Servicing Risk team.

The SVP, Credit Group Manager (Servicing Risk) is a senior management-level position accountable for risk oversight of performing servicing area, strategic initiatives in risk management and risk governance routines for the residential real-estate servicing risk management function. You will work closely with the risk management and policy team and stakeholders in mortgage-servicing & originations, finance, legal & compliance areas supporting both US Personal Banking and Wealth divisions on an expansive set of portfolio objectives to deliver performance aligned with Citi’s risk-appetite framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end risk management and risk oversight for a functional area within servicing risk.

  • Develop, test, optimize and implement credit portfolio management strategies for a functional area within the servicing and default lifecycle for mortgage & home equity loans.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

  • Track and report on initiatives, performance results, emerging trends, and opportunities to senior management.

  • Establish cross-functional partnerships and networks, in-order to support and execute cross-functional and business initiatives.

  • Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to Policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • May lead a team of risk analysts and/or manage a complex, critical, multi-disciplinary servicing risk management functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in consumer credit risk management or equivalent training

  • Experience in the residential real-estate (mortgage/home-equity) industry preferred

  • Mortgage default, servicing strategy and/or risk management experience is a plus

  • Will require a broad knowledge of residential real estate credit management,

  • Strength in managing teams and influencing others and well as high level of competence communicating with executive management

  • Demonstrated accountability for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses or functional areas

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Proven negotiation skills often used at a senior level

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency

  • Ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external audiences

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred
