Role Summary: We are looking for a Strategic Pricing Manager to develop and implement pricing strategies that align with our business objectives and market dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of success in pricing management within the electrical supplies distribution industry.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer segments to identify pricing opportunities and threats.

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies that optimize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to understand customer needs and market dynamics, ensuring pricing strategies are aligned with business goals.

  • Utilize PROS pricing management tool to evaluate pricing performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Monitor price elasticity and adjust pricing strategies as needed to maximize revenue and market share.

  • Lead pricing negotiations with key customers and suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements.

  • Develop and implement pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors that may impact pricing decisions.

  • Provide training and support to sales teams on pricing strategies, tactics, and tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives as needed.

  • Works closely with Region Vice Presidents, Sales Leaders, and Operations Managers.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing management

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in pricing analytics tools and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.

  • Proven track record of managing pricing negotiations and contract agreements.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize competing demands.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite

     

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with PROS price optimization tool including managing algorithm inputs and pricing strategy settings.

  • Experience working for or with companies in the electrical supplies distribution or similar industry; knowledge of electrical products.

  • Experience maintaining pricing conditions in SAP and analyzing transactional data to diagnose pricing performance and opportunities.

  • Experience building reports and dashboards in PowerBI or similar data visualization applications.
