We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Clerk. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient medical records. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and organize patient medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

  2. Process requests for medical records from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients in a timely manner.

  3. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing and verifying information such as patient demographics, diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.

  4. Enter data into electronic health record (EHR) systems and update patient information as necessary.

  5. Respond to inquiries and provide assistance to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medical records requests and documentation.

  6. Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information by adhering to HIPAA regulations and privacy guidelines.

  7. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping practices.

  8. Assist with record retention, disposal, and archival processes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
