Robert Half Manager of Sales in Irving, Texas
Description
We are seeking a Manager of Sales for a small MANUFACTURING company in Irving. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in the oil and gas, or industrial lubricants and/or chemical industries, with a passion to lead a team to achieve the company's goals in sales, all while having the customer top of mind. A strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting, coupled with the ability to develop and execute a sales plan will be essential to the success of the team and the business as a whole.
Responsibilities:
Create sales documentation, pricing, and training for distributors.
Identify new business opportunities with the current clients and new prospects. Capture them!
Communicate and resolve issues with product quality, performance, service, and applications.
Look at market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy as well as lead the sales team that would include expense budget establishment, expense review, sales planning and approval, sales activity such a monitoring and forecasting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (required) or master’s degree (preferred) in business administration or related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
At least 3 years of international sales experience
Working knowledge of oil and gas, drilling and exploration, casing, tubing joints and connections
Experience with an ERP system (NetSuite preferred)
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally (or as needed)
3+ years leading a team
