Position Summary

A Program Manager is a key member of the Enterprise Security Risk Group (eSRG), which focuses on emergent technology program development, operational excellence, and thought leadership. A Program Manager is responsible for planning and managing their assigned programs’ strategy and main objectives while assessing its success throughout the program’s lifecycle though various project outcomes. They are responsible for coordinating multiple projects and efforts that are used to meet their assigned program’s main goals.

A Program Manager oversees the entire lifecycle process and offers strategic guidance to their assigned Managers while ensuring proper communication between interdependent and cross-functional teams in the company and its partners. These professionals are essential because they create and manage long-term goals for eSRG and ADT-Commercial at large.

Strategic Objectives AND Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the building of eSRG as an industry-leading brand for Enterprise Security Risk Management within ADT, ADT’s Clients, and eSRG internal customers.

  2. Assist in driving the adoption of the eSRG methodology throughout the organization.

  3. Establish / maintain peer-to-peer relationships with security leaders within ADT’s current and potential Client organizations.

  4. The role of eSRG has been and will continue to evolve. Flexibility, creativity, and maintaining drive amid uncertainty is vital to success in this role.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Operational: Plans and coordinates program related activities

  • Organizing daily/weekly/monthly projects based on the scope, schedule, and budget of the program(s).

  • Devising new ways and means to support ADT-C and its partners’ objectives predictably and efficiently for the program(s).

  • Devloping intermediate goals for the program and measuring progress/success against them.

  • Coordinate with all the internal and external stakeholders needed to execute projects.

  • Develop unique and standardized measures of effectiveness and performance of the assigned program(s) and track them.

  • Develops and implements project plans and strategies necessary to ensure the delivery of quality products, projects, and programs.

  • Monitor projects and oversee assigned eSRG managers to ensure goals are met.

  • Maintains all records of project statuses, scope/schedule/budget changes, and facilitates the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use.

  • Develops eSRG processes to reflect key learnings from new programs to improve efficiency and quality of eSRG operations.

  • Provide periodic forecasts of labor, budget, and schedule requirements for program(s) based on downstream project needs.

  • Brief ADT-C senior leadership routinely on program development, success, and statuses.

  • Subject Matter Expert: Domain expertise – Adds content and intellectual value to deliverables, projects, programs, and other team efforts.

  • Participate in the creation of program and project deliverables.

  • Share knowledge of Physical Security, Electronic Access Control, Visual Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Corporate Security, Loss Prevention, Cyber Security, Risk / Resilience / Continuity, CPTED, and business principles.

  • Provide thought leadership to industry to include authoring papers, social media posts/blogs, and participating in industry events such as trade shows or educational forums

  • Emerging Technology

  • General knowledge of emerging security technologies is a plus

  • Loose/tight project planning

  • Relationship building

  • Establish and nurture relationships to improve communications, build trust, and develop a better sense of others’ needs within ADT, the industry, and potential partners and clients.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Research, develop, demonstrate and present metrics for team and company leadership.

  • Develop and maintain tracking mechanisms to aid in the team’s efficiency and growth.

  • Facilitate and manage team meetings, reports, schedules and logistics.

Education:

  • BS / BA in Business, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Information Security or an equivalent amount of experience (+5 years) in related fields is required.

  • Graduate level degree is a plus

Must have experience, Knowledge / Skill / Ability (KSA) to capture data, concepts, observations, and themes, and effectively express them in writing. Ability to write reports, proposals, scopes of work, change orders, training and marketing materials. Ability to provide feedback to eSRG team members, senior leaders, and internal / external customers.

Public Speaking Ability

Must have experience, KSA, and be naturally comfortable with effectively speaking to individuals, groups of all sizes, senior leaders and customers in a variety of settings including in the field, offices, classrooms, auditoriums and via video links.

Math Ability

Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute billing rates, ratios, percentages, profitability and other financial calculations, and to create and interpret the data in a visual manner.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to solve multi-variable problems in situations where limited or no standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Leadership

Must have the skill sets and emotional intelligence to motivate teams, give and receive direction, manage up and down, and interact with stakeholders at all levels of ADT-C and its partners. Program Managers must be adept and knowing how and when to take charge and when to follow.

Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving Skills

Must be able to detect, mitigate, and resolve conflicts within program teams and stakeholders with competing views and goals.
