Job Overview:
APTIM's Sustainability team seeks an experienced Senior Sustainability Manager, with strong experience and relationships in the professional, minor league, club, collegiate and/or Olympic sports sectors. This is an opportunity for a management level professional looking to further advance their career with a global environmental leader, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing APTIM's global sustainability growth strategy.
As a Senior Sustainability Manager, the successful candidate's primary function will be to develop and implement branding, marketing, sponsorship and outreach strategies for a sustainability-focused sports benchmarking product. This role will also support APTIM's growth strategy to expand our sustainability, resiliency, and climate change consultancy services to our customers. The team environment is highly collaborative and dynamic. Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship management skills are required.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Branding and Marketing Strategy for Sports Benchmarking Product:
Lead the strategy, development and promotion of the annual benchmarking survey and report
Develop and lead implementation of the product marketing and branding plan, working with the marketing department to develop collateral, raise visibility via social media, refresh the website, etc.
Develop and lead implementation of recruitment and relationship management plan for survey participants, leagues and other key industry relationships, coordinating with other team members, as needed
Develop and lead implementation of the product partnership plan
In close coordination with the team, manage relationships with specific key stakeholders, such as leagues, sponsors and partners
Develop webinars and topics to submit to speak at industry events
Create content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites and social media
Sustainability Services Practice:
Develop and implement sustainability strategies to meet stakeholder (customer, government, investor, employee) expectations
Assist with implementation of the marketing/communications strategy for the sustainability practice to broaden the APTIM brand both internally and externally
Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business. Lead and partner with clients in developing sustainability strategies.
Leverage existing relationships to support the growth of Sustainability and ESG opportunities throughout North America
Prepare proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads
Build and support relationships with regulatory entities, vendors and product/service companies
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. Preference for those with a focus on environmental policy, sustainability, planning, civil engineering or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
8+ years' experience in Consultancy specifically around the Sustainability and ESG
3+ years of experience specific to the sports sector
Experienced with the design and implementation of sustainability programs such as energy, waste, and stakeholder engagement
Good understanding of sustainability topics including climate resilience, emerging technologies and renewables, zero waste planning and implementation
Leadership experience including proposal development and project management
Existing relationships in the professional, minor league, club, collegiate and/or Olympic sports sectors
Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with sports industry stakeholders
Well established reputation and recognized expertise by the marketplace
Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and "people" skills
Proficient in multiple kinds of writing: feature stories, profiles, blogs, news articles, white papers, awards submissions, social media campaign, etc.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Proficient Microsoft Office software
Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
ENV SP, LEED AP, WELL AP, TRUE Advisor, GHG Protocol, or other sustainability-related accreditations are a plus
Knowledge of sustainability disclosure frameworks, emerging regulations, and general corporate sustainability reporting topics
