Description

Amazon Games is seeking an exceptionally skilled and enthusiastic Business and Demand Planning (BDP) lead, specializing in strategic modeling/forecasting to join the BizOps team. This individual will own topline revenue forecasts and corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for games published by Amazon. The Sr. BDP lead will work with technical teams, product teams, program teams, finance, and operations. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be excited by working in an ever-changing environment.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated their ability to:

  • Have a passion for games

  • Develop and manage accurate topline revenue time-series forecasts and KPI assumptions leveraging data from multiple sources

  • Build automated data solutions in Excel and Tableau using SQL

  • Explain analyses at an executive level (in both written and verbal formats).

  • Automate reports highlighting key insights and trends

  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, game product managers, and business stakeholders as a leader of quantitative analysis, where you develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity

This leader will partner with technical and business stakeholders to deliver financial analysis used for existing games, and incoming games.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • 5+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Previous experience developing and managing revenue forecasts and KPIs for games as a service.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
