Job Title: Solar Project Manager III

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promoting corporate values

  • Evaluate and ensure the efficient management of Renewables projects consistent with contractual requirements.

  • Engaging with the project developers on proposals, pre-award site walks, and hand-offs

  • Attend project meetings whenever practical (site or conference call) to ensure forward progress, identify risk potential, and maintain awareness of project developments in real-time

  • Creating and maintaining positive relationships with clients and other departments, supervisors, and stakeholders.

  • Ensuring clear and timely communications with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Managing project deliverables and ensuring they are submitted complete, accurate, and in a timely manner

  • Support contract review, including general project information, scope, schedule, insurance and compliance requirements, award amount and total anticipated cost

  • Prepares quarterly financial forecasts and monthly updates. Ensures that the contract is managed in a manner that meets all contractual requirements and Mesa Energy System financial goal

  • Responsible for timely and accurate project billing and to provide support to Accounts Payable as needed related to past-due payments, etc.

  • Responsible for cost control on each project ensuring that from award to completion, a solid knowledge of current financial status is known by effectively managing in-house budgets and costs (purchase orders, work orders, subcontracts) and change orders.

  • Responsible for coordinating procurement of all materials including strategic long lead items to maintain and/or improving project budget and schedule.

  • Manage the client’s expectations from hand-off, through contract execution and project completion. Manage and beneficially resolve disputes with clients, contractors, vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors.

  • Ensure proper close-out procedures have been followed and documented including quality control, punch list; and any contractual project completion requirements have been satisfied.

  • Responsible for overseeing design, engineering, permitting, and interconnection progress based on project needs and information available.

  • Submit accurate and timely design deliverables to client and AHJ.

  • Submit accurate and timely utility applications

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering, or another related field preferred.

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction management, particularly solar and or electrical a plus.

  • Project Management experience in government, DSA, Industrial, and/or military construction assignments preferred.

  • Knowledge of alternative contracts and delivery method a plus.

  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Microsoft Project, Outlook, and other associated Microsoft Office Suite products required

  • Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, and/or Auto Cad a plus.

Compensation Range: $118,000 - $135,000k Per Year
